NOTHING LIKE THE SUN (sun) - (House Sessions - 2009)
I was once in a band and one of our lyrics was, "There's nothing like the sun to bring me down..."
Well...several years later, I'm STILL flying (on different wings) and STILL believe that there's NOTHING like sunlight to "bring the party to an end"...only by now IN THE STORY, things have gotten MUCH DARKER and MUCH WORSE.
I had a brother of a best friend and we used to sit around smoking pot in his dingy room with the paint peeling (looked like the scene in Fight Club), watching the sun creep across a dusty floor waiting for that call....
"Yeah, you can swing by now..."
And then, eventually, the SUN ruins EVERYTHING...but not THIS time...
I picture that "perfect high" and laying in the grass after being awake all night...this time APPRECIATING the SUN.
