CALYX (flower drawing) - (Musica Para Los Muertos - 2003/2004)
The main focus of the song is that this is a retort to a song that I LOVE but gets a little repetitive come the one hundreth time. It then became dedicated to one of my favorite drummers. Originally it was about the painful weight of non-anonymity. It completely CRUSHED some of my heroes...so I'm guessing it's a pretty heavy weight...but some survived.
I miss the "riders who have fallen" cause "it's clear those no time to return"...
lyrics
10 CALYX
Days on end don't ease my shame
I must be tainted
Cause I'm holding the balde
(I know you)
Tuck it sweet into the vacant
All the dirty
Pockets are paid
(I know you)
Touch the face of reflection
To see if she breathes
She's got no need for me now...
As wishing may
Deceased shall be
A warm brace to the final vow...
I know you
Days on end won't cease the shame
I must be the one
Cause I'm holding the sepal
All the children have come out to play
Here is the garden,
And here is the steeple
Touch the skin of perfection
To see if it bleeds
She got no need of me now
A mantra for The Stygian wayfarer's ardor
A warm embrace of the final vow
I know you're alive
I know you're alive
I know you're alive
I know you
Touch the face of reflection
To see if she breathes
She's got no need for me now...
As wishing may
Deceased shall we be
A warm brace to the final vow...
I know you're alive
I know you're alive
I know you're alive
I know you're alive
I know you
